Achievements:
Negotiated the acquisition of a site for Holy Angels Centre. The generous offer of a free site came from the McLoughlin family. Continued to press for the upgrade of my own area’s roads and paths. Provided strong representation for people who had issues of concern to them. Lobbied for people who required services from govt. bodies Helped to further the relationship with Skofja Loka that I fostered as Cathaoirleach. Signed off on twinning with Davenport, Iowa on behalf of Carlow County Council. Gave the best possible service to my constituents.
 
Policies Priority:

The completion of the Flood-relief scheme.
The promotion of business activity for the benefit of the workers of Carlow.
The provision of better health facilities for the people of Carlow especially for the care of people with eating disorders.
Opposition to the re-imposition of 3rd Level fees on struggling families.
The re-opening of Bethany House as a community health facility.
Resistance to the government policy of targeting the young and the old for cuts in benefits and services.
Support of local communities- litter initiatives.

 
Vote for me because, as a full-time councillor, I am in a position to give you my undivided attention. I will represent your concerns at management level in the council. I will be a listening, helpful resource when you need it.
